At this time of year, amaranth, water spinach and beans are the most common dishes on the table. I’d like to introduce you to a seasonal home-made dish – stir fried amaranth.


1 handful of amaranth
1 teaspoon salt
5 cloves garlic
1.5 tbsp vegetable oil


Step 1
Clean amaranth and cut garlic into small pieces

Step 2
Put a little vegetable oil in the pot, add garlic and stir fry until fragrant

Step 3
Add amaranth, stir fry until discolored, add salt and stir fry evenly out of the pot
