As a northeasterner, the dish of random stew is on the table from urination. It seems that people in Northeast China prefer steaming stewed dishes with thick soup. This random stew is my favorite mother’s formula from urination, mother’s taste.


400g streaky pork
Half cabbage
Two potatoes
Two tomatoes
3 teaspoons raw soy sauce
1 teaspoon cooking wine
7 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 tbsp vegetable oil


Step 1
Cut pork streaky pork into thin pieces, which are slightly thinner than braised meat and slightly thicker than fried meat. Marinate it with a small amount of cooking wine and soy sauce

Step 2
When marinating meat, prepare side dishes, cut potatoes into hobs, cut tomatoes into small pieces, tear cabbage into small pieces, and the size of tomatoes is optional without being too large; I tore the cabbage by hand. It tastes more primitive and tastes better

Step 3
Cool the oil in a hot pot, and add less oil, because the streaky pork will produce oil. Add streaky pork, fry it slightly, and then stir fry it constantly to make the streaky pork produce oil

Step 4
When the color changes completely, add 3 teaspoons of white sugar and stir fry the sugar color slightly. This process will color the meat, and it has the feeling of crispy outside and tender inside, which is more chewy. If you don't like it or feel troublesome, you can replace it with a tablespoon of soy sauce, or you can not use it directly and continue to the next step

Step 5
Put in the potatoes and start to stir fry until the surface of the potatoes is also slightly burnt red and colored

Step 6
Add cabbage and tomatoes, stir fry slightly, add hot water, and just have no ingredients. The amount of water depends on personal preference. If you like more soup, add a little more, and if you like dry, a little less. Because tomatoes and cabbage will slightly water out, so remember to count them in

Step 7
Bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to medium and low heat for stewing, and then add about 4 teaspoons of white sugar and 3 teaspoons of raw soy sauce, because what I do is slightly sweet, and tomatoes are sour. You can taste it and add an appropriate amount. Stew until the soup is slightly thick. Add salt. According to personal taste, avoid being too salty because there is raw smoke. You can turn off the fire with a bowl of soup left. When collecting juice, control it according to your own taste, and collect more thick juice
