It’s a necessary new year dish for every family in our hometown. Although it’s a bit troublesome, it’s really delicious. It’s definitely a hard dish.

Ingredients

Two catties of streaky pork
A sweet potato
Proper amount of soy sauce
1 piece of nanru
2 tsp sugar
Half a packet of five spice powder
Appropriate amount of water
Appropriate amount of garlic sprouts
Moderate salt

Directions

Step 1
Prepare nanru and wuxiangfen. Half a packet of five spice powder is enough.

Step 2
Peel a large taro and set aside.

Step 3
Wash pork with skin and cut into large pieces.

Step 4
Blanch the pork in cold water and bring it to a boil.

Step 5
Prepare a pot of hot water, put in the pork and cover it. Cook over medium heat until the meat is soft. Just insert it with chopsticks.

Prepare a pot of oil and fry the sliced taro in the oil until the surface hardens.

After frying the taro, pour out the oil, leave a little bit in the pot, then put the meat into the pot, cover the pot, and then open the medium heat to fry slowly, so as to avoid oil splashing out.

While frying, move the position of the pot to prevent the middle part of the meat from scorching, or turn off the fire, open the lid of the pot, move the position of the meat and fire again five minutes later.
